If you seem to be unable to change your email address, there are a few possible reasons.

  1. You may have initiated an email address change on your account, but you have not confirmed the change yet. Check the inbox under your new email address for a confirmation link.
  2. You may have a second account under the email address you wish to change your account over to. Log into the free account under the email address your wish to change your account to and delete it by following the instructions in this article.
