The person who purchases a Dropbox Family plan is the Family manager. All charges for the subscription are billed to the Family manager’s Dropbox account. Other members on the plan can’t view or change billing details from their individual accounts.
The Family manager can access and update billing information from their Dropbox account settings.
From the billing screen, the Family manager can update their payment method with a different credit card or PayPal account, change billing frequency from monthly or yearly, and view invoices and receipts from their billing history.
To manage billing for your Family plan:
When the Family manager upgrades to Dropbox Family from a Dropbox Plus plan, their account is billed for the new plan either monthly or yearly, depending on the billing frequency they’ve selected. The first charge is prorated for time left on the Plus plan and will start a new billing cycle.
When a family member joins a Family plan with a Dropbox Plus or Professional account, their individual account is refunded for the prorated cost of their original plan. As a member of Dropbox Family, they can’t change billing information for the Family plan, but can still access billing history for their previous plan.
