How to upgrade or downgrade your Dropbox subscription

How to switch your subscription if you bought it from the Apple App Store

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, tap Settings.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap iTunes & App Store. 
  4. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap View Apple ID. 
  5. Tap Subscriptions (about midway through the screen).
  6. Tap Dropbox.
  7. Select the new subscription plan of your choice.
  8. Tap Confirm.
  9. Start the Dropbox app on your iOS device.

Note: You may need to restart the Dropbox app to see these changes take effect.

How to switch your subscription if you bought it from Google Play 

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store 
  2. Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account.
  3. Tap Menu and then Subscriptions.
  4. Select the subscription you want to edit.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription.

How to switch your subscription if you bought it from the Dropbox app (iOS only)

  1. In your Dropbox app, tap Account.
  2. Tap Change or Cancel Plan.
  3. Tap Manage your subscriptions.
  4. Open the iTunes Store.
  5. Select the new subscription plan of your choice.
  6. Tap Confirm.
  7. Start the Dropbox app on your iOS device.

You may need to restart the Dropbox app to see these changes take effect.

What happens if I join a Dropbox Business team from a Plus or Professional subscription?

If you start a Business free trial or join a Business team, you’ll continue to be charged for any existing Plus or Professional subscription you purchased through the App Store. 

If you do not cancel your Apple app store subscription, you’ll continue to be charged automatically every month or year.

When do plan changes take effect?

Upgrades take effect and will be billed immediately. Downgrades from Professional to Plus will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
