How to create and manage discount codes on Dropbox Shop

You can create discount codes and share them with buyers to promote your listings on Dropbox Shop. Customers can use discount codes only once. 

How to add a discount code

To create a discount code:

1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
3. Click Shop from the list that appears. Dropbox Shop opens in a new tab.
4. Click Discounts in the left sidebar.
5. Click Add discount.
6. Add the information for your discount. 
   • Code: You can enter a name for your discount, or click Generate code to have one created for you.
   • Amount: To offer a certain percentage off your items, click Percentage. To discount a certain amount, click Fixed amount.
   • Schedule (Optional): You can limit when your discount starts and ends.
     • To start the discount on a specific date, check the box next to Discount has a start date.
     • To end the discount on a certain day, check the box next to Discount has an end date.
   • Usage (Optional): To limit the number of buyers who can use your discount, check the box next to Limit total redemption across all customers to and then enter an amount.
7. When you’re finished, click Add discount.

How to share a discount code

To share discount codes with your customers:

1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
3. Click Shop from the list that appears. Dropbox Shop opens in a new tab.
4. Click Discounts in the left sidebar.
5. Click Share next to the code you’d like to share. 
6. Choose where you’d like your link to lead to.
   • If your discount applies to all your listings, select Home page.
   • If your discount only applies to certain products, select Product page.
7. Click Copy.
8. Paste the link in emails, social media, or anywhere you’d like customers to find your discount.

How to edit or delete a discount code

1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
3. Click Shop from the list that appears. Dropbox Shop opens in a new tab.
4. Click Discounts in the left sidebar.
5. Click the “…” (ellipsis) next to the discount you’d like to manage.
   • To edit your discount code, choose Edit and then add or change the information. 
     • When you’re done, click Save changes.
   • To delete your discount code, click Delete.
