Once you install the Dropbox desktop app on your computer, a Dropbox folder will appear on your hard drive. It works like any other folder. To move a file, simply drag it to this Dropbox folder. The file will automatically upload to the Dropbox cloud where you can access it from any device. You should also see the Dropbox icon in your computer’s system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac). There you can see your recent activity, notifications, and quick links to all your files.

On desktop, you can drag and drop files into the Dropbox folder

If you add lots of files at once, it may take a while for the initial upload to complete.
