You may see this error message if your folder has been changed from dropbox.com or another device, and the Dropbox folder on your computer has trouble applying that change.
To resolve this error message:
- Open the Dropbox application on your computer.
- Locate the folder that won’t sync. The name of the affected folder will be in the error message.
- Drag that folder outside of the Dropbox application (for example, to your Desktop).
- Let the Dropbox application fully sync the change.
- Once you see a green checkmark and Up to date, move the folder back into your Dropbox folder on your computer.
- Repeat as necessary for any additional folders with this issue.
