This article describes a feature available to all Dropbox users.
You can star files and folders for easy access on dropbox.com and the Dropbox mobile app.
When you star a file or folder, it’s starred only for you. It’s not starred for anyone else who shares the file or folder.
Note: You can view pages in a document, scrub through a video, or flip through the contents of a folder without opening it. To do so, make sure you’re using grid layout, then move your cursor horizontally across the file or folder.

There are two ways to view your starred files and folders on dropbox.com:
Note: To open the left sidebar, click the square icon with a vertical line in the bottom-left corner. To collapse the left sidebar, click the half-filled square icon in the bottom-left corner.
