If you're an admin of a Dropbox Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise account, you can change the name of your team. Your new team name will display to all team members.

How to change the name of a Dropbox team account

To change the name of a Dropbox team account:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Under Account and Team profile, click your team’s name next to Team name.
  5. Click Change.
  6. Enter your new team name. You can set different names for:
    • Display name: Shown as your team name on dropbox.com and any connected devices your team members have. Limited to 20 characters.
    • Billing name: Appears on billing statements and should be your organization’s full name.
  7. Click Change name.

When you update your team's Display name, it changes the name of your team on dropbox.com and on any connected devices your team members have. Files and folders won't resync when the Display name changes.

Note: A hidden “junction” with your old team name is created as a hidden folder. This is to allow any existing references to files within your Dropbox folder to continue to work even with the team name change. It may appear in File Explorer even if hidden folders are set to invisible. Learn more about hidden folders.
