How to use in-person signing with Dropbox Sign

In-person signing is available on Standard and Premium plans.

With in-person signing, you can set up a template on an iPad or tablet so a client or customer can sign the form in person with their finger.

Note: In-person signing is intended for single-signer documents only. If you need more than one signer per document, send the request through the web app.

How to use in-person signing

  1. Log in to sign.dropbox.com.
  2. Follow the steps to create a template link.
  3. Select Templates on the left sidebar.
  4. Click My Templates on the dropdown menu.
  5. Click All under Templates.
  6. Click the name of your new template.
  7. Click the “v” (arrow icon) next to Ways to sign.
  8. Toggle the In-person signing switch to On.
  9. Check the box next to Turn on in-person signing and click Save.
  10. Click the link under In-person signing.
  11. The signer can type in their email address and click Sign.
  12. You will receive an email with instructions to set up in-person signing.

Note: An internet connection is required to use in-person signing.
