This article describes an early access feature available to some Dropbox Dash customers and is subject to additional terms.

You can add your Zoom account to Dropbox Dash so you can access and search your Zoom content directly within Dash.

This requires OAuth authentication to ensure Dash only retrieves information relevant to your data, giving you full control over what Dash can access.

Requirements

To add Zoom to Dash, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Admin approval: The app must be enabled by your Dash admin. If Zoom isn’t listed in your Apps, contact your admin.
  • Authorization: You must authorize Dash in Zoom.
  • Active account: You need an active account with Zoom.

Integration features

For Zoom, Dash captures the following details:

  • Meeting transcripts: Dash integration allows users to search across meeting metadata and recording transcripts. Customers can quickly find Zoom meetings based on the meeting title, metadata, or recording transcripts.

API permissions

Note: Dash uses Zoom developer APIs to ingest data.

When adding Zoom to Dropbox Dash, Dash requests the following authorizations:

  • Profile and contact information: Access user and contact information, such as user name, display name, picture, email address, and user ID.
  • Meetings: Access scheduled Zoom meetings and webinars, and related details about those meetings.
  • Settings: Access Zoom preferences, meeting settings, screen sharing settings, and other configuration information.
  • Participant profile and contact information: Access participant user and contact information, such as user name, display name, picture, email address, and user ID.
  • Content: Access content generated by Zoom products, including video, audio, transcriptions, chats, and related context such as invitation details and meeting names.
  • Registration: Access the registration information that participants provide when registering for a Zoom meeting or recording, including their responses to registration questions and other relevant details.

How content syncing works

  • Content sync starts right after the connection is made, so you can quickly search for the most relevant data.
  • Transcripts and recording updates, like name changes, sync continuously. The frequency depends on your data size from the last 30 days.
  • Recordings sync monthly for the last 2 years, starting with the most recent.

Note: Zoom Calendar details aren't synced to avoid conflicts with other calendar apps supported by Dash, such as Google and Outlook.
