You can add your organization's Dropbox account to Dropbox Dash to easily search for and find information about your content. With one click, you can receive answers on Dash or be directed to your content on Dropbox. By adding Dropbox to Dropbox Dash, you'll enable sync of your organization’s entire Dropbox content with Dash.

API permissions

When adding Dropbox to Dropbox Dash, Dash requests the following authorizations:

  • Connect with your Dropbox account (Individuals): Allows Dash to access files and folders stored on your individual Dropbox account.
  • Connect with your Dropbox account (Team): Allows Dash to access files and folders stored on team members’ Dropbox accounts.

How content syncing works

  • Content sync starts as soon as connection is made, allowing you to quickly search your data. This may take a few hours to several days based on the amount of content in your account. You’ll receive an email when syncing is complete.
  • Dash performs a full sync of your Dropbox content and permissions every 20 days and an incremental sync every 60 minutes.

  1. Log in to dash.ai with your admin credentials.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the lower left.
