Important:

  • The Dropbox Sign add-on for Gmail will be discontinued, starting October 15, 2025.
  • You can no longer install the add-on.
  • Existing users can continue using the add-on until October 15, 2025. After this date, access and support for the add-on will be removed.

The Dropbox Sign add-on for Gmail allows you to easily sign attachments that are sent to your Gmail.

To sign attachments in Gmail:

  1. Open the email with the attachment or attachments you want to sign.

  2. Click the Dropbox Sign logo in the sidebar to open the add-on.

  3. De-select any attachments you don’t wish to sign, then click Next.

    • When your Dropbox Sign account opens in a new tab, sign in if prompted to do so.

  4. Complete any fields and add your signature, as you would a ‘Just me’ signature request.

  5. Click Sign in the upper-right once it’s completed, and you’ll be redirected to your email in Gmail.

  6. Click Attach document to automatically update the attachment and respond to the email.

Note: You can also send signature requests with the Sign web app or API. If you need help to do so, use the contact us form.
