This article describes a feature available on DocSend StandardAdvanced, and Advanced Data Rooms plans.

Overview

Duplicating Spaces (data rooms) allows you to quickly replicate an existing Space. You can leverage this feature to create Space templates, saving time for both you and your team.

How to duplicate a Space (data room)

You can easily duplicate a Space (data room) from the Spaces page or within the Space itself. This will copy all content, sections, Space folders, header and layout options into a new Space.

  1. From the Spaces page, expand the “more options” menu next to the desired Space and select Duplicate Space.
  2. From here, you can rename the Space or keep it the same, then click Duplicate to confirm.
  3. Or, if you’re already in the Space, click the Duplicate Space icon located on the Space header settings.

Personal content

While you can duplicate a Space (data room), the content that you or the Space owner don't have access to will not carry over into the new Space. A warning message will appear, indicating that some content may not be copied because you don't have permission to access it.

Personal content is indicated by a lock symbol. Similarly, Space Collaborators are not copied over to the new Space and will need to be added again. See our article Collaborate in a Space (data room) for more information.

Processing delay

Duplicating a Space (data room) may take a couple of minutes to appear on your Spaces page. This depends on the size of the Space - the larger the Space, the longer it may take to duplicate.
