This article describes a feature available on DocSend StandardAdvanced, and Advanced Data Rooms plans. 

Overview

Templates provide an easy way to get started using Spaces. Templates can be used to create documents, share files, assist clients and employees, and much more.

Requirements

  • Any plan that has access to Spaces (data rooms).
    • Spaces are available to all plans except Personal.

What’s a Space (data room)?

Spaces are what we call our virtual data rooms (VDR). Data rooms provide a way to group, organize, and share high volumes of content with others using a single link. Data rooms provide a high level of customization to allow teams to tailor each data room to their unique needs. Data analytics provide additional support by allowing owners and collaborators to keep track of contributions and visitor activity.

How to use a template in Spaces (data rooms)

To use a template in Spaces (data rooms):
  1. Log in to docsend.com.
  2. Click Spaces (data rooms) in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Use template under the template you’d like to use.
You can select from these templates:
  • Client Portal - This is used for proposals, contracts, and other professional documents.
  • Virtual Data Room - This is used to store and share sensitive files and collaborating on requests.
  • Onboarding Space - This is used for onboarding clients and employees while keeping their information secure.
  • Board Meeting - This is used to share agendas and meeting notes and to archive documents.

Note: If you’ve already created at least one Space, you’ll access templates by clicking Browse templates in the Space (data room).
