Variable signing is available to Dropbox Sign users on a Premium plan.

Variable signing allows you to create a template with as many signer roles as you think you might need, then choose which signer roles you’ll actually need when you send the signature request.

For example, you could create three signer roles in a template, but only add two signers to a signature request using that template. Any roles that aren’t used will be removed from the request, along with any fields assigned to those roles.

Variable signing is useful if you frequently send signature requests with an unknown or variable number of signers, such as rental contracts, mortgage paperwork, and forms that may require co-signers.
