How to disconnect and delete Dropbox Dash

Dropbox Dash beta is no longer available for download. Learn how to disconnect and delete Dropbox Dash beta in the section below. Before uninstalling the Dash app, complete the following steps to remove Dash access to your external applications:

Log in to dropbox.com.
Go to the Dash connectors page, then click the Connected tab.
Click the three dots to the right of each app, then click Disconnect.
Go to the Apps tab in your account settings.
Click Dropbox Dash.
Click Disconnect and follow the prompts on the screen.

Note: If you installed the Dropbox Dash browser extension, remove the extension from your browser. Learn how to remove extensions from Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Once you’ve removed all the connected apps, permissions, and the browser extension, you can uninstall the Dropbox Dash desktop app. Follow the instructions for your device below.

Press control-e to open the Dropbox Dash desktop app.
Go to Preferences.
Click General.
Click Reset and Quit
Go to Add and Remove Programs and locate the Dropbox Dash Uninstaller.
Run the uninstaller and follow the on-screen prompts.

Press control-e to open the Dropbox Dash desktop app.
Go to Preferences.
Click General.
Click Reset and Quit
Open Finder.
Click Applications and locate Dropbox Dash.
Either drag the application to trash or right-click the Dropbox Dash icon and choose Move to Trash.
Restart your computer.

How to cancel your trial of Dash and disband your team

Note: The information in this section applies to team admins on Dropbox Dash for teams.

If you are a team admin and don’t want to purchase Dropbox Dash after the trial period, you can cancel your trial and disband Dash from your team without deleting Dropbox content.

When you disband your team:

Team files will move to your free account
Files in member folders will move to individual free accounts
Access to shared files remains the same
Everyone on your team will lose access to Dropbox Dash

Note: If your team is on an existing Dropbox plan, your content will still be accessible under that plan after disbanding.

To disband your team from Dash:

Log in to dash.ai.
Click Account.
Click Admin Console.
Click Billing.
Click Cancel trial.
Click Cancel trial and disband team.
Check the boxes to confirm you understand the terms of disbanding.
Click Disband team.

How to permanently delete Dash after trial

If you want to remove the data utilized in the Dash trial and not create Dropbox accounts for team members, you can permanently delete your Dropbox data and Dropbox Dash.

To permanently delete your Dropbox Dash data:

Log in to dash.ai.
Click Billing.
Click Cancel trial.
Click Delete everything in your account permanently.
Check the boxes to confirm you understand the terms of permanently deleting Dash data.
Click Delete permanently.
Type “permanently delete” into the space provided.
Click Delete permanently.
