This article describes an early access feature available to some Dropbox Dash customers and is subject to additional terms.

You can add your Monday account to Dropbox Dash so you can access and search your Monday content directly within Dash. This requires OAuth authentication to ensure Dash only retrieves information relevant to your data, giving you full control over what Dash can access. Dash strictly follows the OAuth model, meaning it only accesses the data you specifically permit.

Requirements

To add Monday to Dash, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Admin approval: The app must be enabled by your Dash admin. If Monday isn’t listed in your Apps, contact your admin.
  • Authorization: You must authorize Dash in Monday.
  • Active account: You need an active account with Monday.

Integration features

For Monday, Dash captures the following details:

  • Documents: Dash allows you to access document content, titles, and metadata, along with creation dates and links.
  • Folders: Dash allows you to organize documents and boards by capturing folder names, creation dates, and relationships to other entities.
  • Boards: Dash allows you to manage workflows by capturing board names, descriptions, and item details, including task states and creators.
  • Workspaces: Dash allows you to categorize projects by capturing workspace names, descriptions, and relationships with users and teams.
  • Assets: Dash allows you to manage assets by capturing names, file sizes, extensions, public URLs, and uploads.

Note: Although all these details are collected, only documents, boards, and workspaces are searchable in Dash. All other information is collected to support the ranking and relevance of search results.

API permissions

  • Read your profile information: Allows Dash to access your public Monday profile, which is required for integration.
  • Read all your board data: Grants Dash permission to access and manage all data related to your boards.
  • Read user’s documents: Enables Dash to access and manage documents associated with your account.
  • Read all of your workspaces data: Allows Dash to access data from all workspaces in your account.
  • Read information about teams in your account: Grants Dash permission to access details about the teams associated with your account.
  • Read general information about your account: Enables Dash to access essential information regarding your account.
  • Read the profile information of the users in your account: Allows Dash to access the profile details of users within your account.
  • Read your account’s tags: Grants Dash permission to access and manage tags associated with your account.

How content syncing works

  • Content sync begins immediately after establishing a connection, to ensure you can start searching right away, prioritizing the most relevant data.
    • “Recent/latest items" refer to content that a user has interacted with through actions such as preview, upload, create, comment, open, modify/update, share, and shared-with-me.
  • Monday performs continuous full syncs that run until all data is ingested, immediately starting a new sync cycle upon completion, with duration varying based on the amount of data in your account.
