Dropbox Sign API quota usage explained

This articles describes which POST API requests count toward your monthly or yearly quota.

Quotas refresh every month or year, depending on your billing cycle. Each Dropbox Sign API subscription has a different allotted quota. For more information about our plans check out our pricing page.

Note: When you reach 80% of your monthly quota, Dropbox Sign will send a notification. Dropbox Sign will never stop you from sending requests due to quota; however, if you reach your limit, your subscription will automatically be upgraded to the next tier. Your subscription will remain at the new tier moving forward.

Any POST API request made to the following endpoints, that is not in test_mode, will count as an API signature request and will, therefore, count against your allotted quota:

*This endpoint allows you to send up to 250 signature requests in bulk based off the template specified. Each signature request will count as one API request. For example, if you are sending a bulk request with a total of 250 signature requests, you will be charged for 250 API requests.

Any POST request made to the following endpoints, that is not in test_mode, will count as an API signature request only when the sender editing the document clicks Continue or Request Signature:
