Mail merge links lets you use DocSend in email drip campaigns and other mass personalized outreach. They integrate directly into your marketing automation tool’s templates and track engagement for every recipient who clicks the link. The recipient’s email is automatically captured through your automation tool’s merge tag, so you’ll know who each visitor is without prompting them for their email in DocSend.

Supported mail merge services

DocSend supports a variety of marketing automation services, including:
  • Salesloft
  • Outreach
  • PersistIQ
  • Yesware
  • Toutapp
  • Groove
  • Apollo
  • Marketo
  • Pardot
  • Hubspot
  • MailChimp

Notes:

  • Mail merge links are not available for Spaces.
  • Mail merge does not support advanced link settings such as access control, Agreements, or watermarking.

Mail merge visit tracking

Mail merge links are marked with a mail merge icon and track visits like standard DocSend links. Unlike DocSend links with account icons, mail merge links rely on the merge tag to dynamically identify visitors.

Marketing automation tool experience

Most marketing automation tools work similarly when creating campaigns, sequences, or templates. The primary difference is the syntax of the merge tag.

Note: Your merge tag is specific to your marketing automation tool. We recommend visiting your marketing automation tool’s help center for more information.
