How to remove the number at the bottom of a signed document in Dropbox Sign

By default, a document ID number appears on the bottom of your signed documents. Customers on Standard and Premium plans can choose to hide the document ID.

How to hide the document ID

  1. Log in to sign.dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Hover over your initials in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu. 
  4. Click the Team tab and scroll to Team settings.
  5. Click the checkbox next to Hide document ID.
  6. Click Save to save your changes.

How to set admin controls to hide the document ID

Team admins and managers can hide document IDs for their entire team. Additionally, org admins can choose whether to allow individual users to change their settings.


To change team-wide settings:

  1. Log in to sign.dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Hover over your initials in the top-right corner.
  3. Click Admin console.
  4. Click Settings in the left sidebar.
  5. Click Signature requests in the left sidebar.
  6. Locate the Hide document ID option and toggle the feature on or off.
  7. Select an option from the dropdown menu to control who can change the setting.
