How do I reinstall the Dropbox app on my Windows Phone or tablet?

If you're experiencing prolonged technical issues with your Dropbox Windows Phone or tablet app, you may need to reset Dropbox from scratch by deleting and reinstalling the app. Doing so should reset your settings and resolve any unusual technical errors. Don't worry, uninstalling will only remove the app and its settings from your Windows Phone or tablet. Your files won't be touched; they're safe and sound on Dropbox servers.

Show instructions for:

Delete the app

  1. From the Start screen, swipe in from the right edge of your phone to view the App list.
  2. Tap and hold on Dropbox, then tap Uninstall.
  3. When asked for confirmation, tap Yes.

Reinstall the app

Download Dropbox for your Windows phone at the Microsoft app store.

Delete the app

  1. From the Start screen, swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap or click Search.
  2. Search for Dropbox in the search box.
  3. Tap and hold, or right-click, on the Dropbox app tile, then select Uninstall.

Reinstall the app

Download Dropbox for your Windows tablet at the Microsoft app store.
