Changing the date format when using Dropbox Sign for Salesforce

By default, the date formatting on your Dropbox Sign account is set as MM/DD/YYYY.

How to change the date formatting on non-merge fields on Enterprise plans

You can change the date format for all of your documents and templates within the Dropbox Sign settings menu for your team. As long as the connected user is part of the team, the changes should carry over to your entire Sign team and for the Salesforce templates and signature requests.

To change the date formatting, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Dropbox Sign with your admin credentials.
  2. Click your email address in the top-right corner.
  3. Click My settings.
  4. Select the Team tab.
  5. Scroll down to Date format and select your preferred option. 
    • Note: If you don't want your team to override these settings, check Lock default for team.

As long as the connected user for the Salesforce org is on that team, the changes should carry over to the date formatting on your Dropbox Sign for SFDC templates

How to change the date formatting on non-merge fields on Enterprise plus and Platinum above API plans

If you're on Enterprise plus and Platinum plans, you can change the date format when you're creating the signature request by clicking the date field on the right side of the page.

How to change the date formatting on merge fields

To change the date formatting for merge fields on SFDC:

  1. Go to the Dropbox Sign settings on Salesforce.
  2. Click General.
  3. Activate Format Merge Field by locale.

This setting allows merged dates to follow the default location of the sender.
