You can use the Dropbox Sign and ActiveCampaign integration to automate your signing processes and track signature requests.

  • Native eSignature integration: Send documents for eSignature from ActiveCampaign without switching apps.
  • Automation with Dropbox Sign templates: Use Dropbox Sign templates to autofill frequently used documents with contact information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and any custom objects (based on template mapping/custom objects).
  • Built-in signature tracking: Track your documents and view when a contact was opened or signed from within ActiveCampaign.

How to install Dropbox Sign in ActiveCampaign

To get the Dropbox Sign and ActiveCampaign integration:

  1. Log in to ActiveCampaign. 
  2. Click Apps.
  3. Click All Apps
  4. Search for Dropbox Sign. 
  5. Click Dropbox Sign to begin installation.

Do I need a license for both ActiveCampaign and Dropbox Sign?

Yes, for this integration to work, you will need both an ActiveCampaign and a Dropbox Sign license for anyone in your company using the integration. 

How do I integrate Dropbox Sign signature requests into my ActiveCampaign workflow?

To send the required fields to a Dropbox Sign template, you must first create a contact field for the ActiveCampaign contact:

  • Single signer: Use the contact’s Name and Email.
  • Multiple signers: Create Name and Email fields in the Contact table respective to the roles. 

You'll need these for mapping fields while setting up automation workflows in ActiveCampaign. 

How do I create a workflow to send a signature request?

  1. Log in to ActiveCampaign. 
  2. Click Automations
  3. Locate the part of the template document you wish to input the signature request.

    • This is recommended when the Deal stage is changed.

  4. Insert Send Dropbox Sign Signature Request (Sandbox) Action step in the Actions list.
  5. Drag and drop the action into the workflow. 
  6. Click Connect and log in with your Dropbox Sign account. 
  7. Click Allow Access

Note: Completed signature requests sent from ActiveCampaign will also appear in the connected Dropbox Sign account.
