Slack and Dropbox Sign have partnered to give users the ability to track documents and paperwork flows directly from their Slack channels.

The Slack integration is available to all Dropbox Sign users who have an active Slack account.

This guide will help you activate the Slack integration via your Dropbox Sign account, walk you through managing Slack notifications, and showcase a few key features of the integration.

1. Activating the Slack integration on your Dropbox Sign account

Log in to your Dropbox Sign account and navigate to Settings in your Dropbox Sign account.

You can find this by clicking on your initials at the top-right corner.

2. Activate the Slack integration

Select Integrations from the horizontal menu bar on the settings page, and scroll down to the Slack integration.

Click Activate on the right side of the Slack integration option. This will take you to the Slack authorization page.

3. Pick the Slack team you want to activate the integration for

Note: You'll need to be logged into your Slack account to see all the Slack teams you are a part of. Select the one you want to join.

Choose the Channel you want your Dropbox Sign updates to post in.

4. Authorize Dropbox Sign to post in your selected channel

After selecting the channel you want Dropbox Sign updates to post in. Click Authorize to give the correct permissions to your account. You'll see a notification on the channel confirming the integration as well.

This authentication authorizes Dropbox Sign to sync document tracking notifications and post them on your Slack channel.

Note: Any person on the Channel you have chosen to integrate with can see these notifications, so if there is sensitive information, we would recommend choosing a private channel or direct message.

Once you’ve authorized Dropbox Sign to communicate with Slack, your browser will automatically return to the integrations menu on your Dropbox Sign account.

You should now see the option to “Deactivate” your Slack integration directly to the right of the Slack option.

5. Deactivating the Slack integration on your Dropbox Sign account

To stop the notifications from coming in, you can deactivate the integration easily and at any time. Just click Deactivate to the right of your Slack integration option.

Note: Deactivating the Slack integration will halt the transfer of information and/or documents to your Slack account. Your Dropbox Sign info will no longer sync to your Slack account.
