Export Dropbox Paper docs

Export a Paper doc Export all of the docs you've created Admins on Dropbox team accounts

The information in this article applies to all Dropbox users.

You can convert any of your existing docs to a .docx (Microsoft Word), .md (Markdown), or .pdf (PDF) file.

Export a Paper doc

Click ✗ (more options) in the Paper doc you're viewing.
Click Export.
Choose the file format for your download.
Click Download.

Notes:

Embedded files may export as a link rather than a full preview (e.g. with YouTube or SoundCloud files).
.docx exports are only compatible with Microsoft Word (not Google Docs or OpenOffice).
Some versions of Microsoft Word may not correctly display special characters in an export.
Certain features of your doc, like tables and timelines, may display differently.

Export all of the docs you've created

Note: Only Dropbox users on the old release of Dropbox Paper can export all of their Paper docs at once. If you’re using the 2020 release of Dropbox Paper, you can only export docs one at a time, using the instructions above.

To find out which release you’re using:

Log in to dropbox.com.
Click Create.
Hover over Document.

If you see Dropbox Paper in the list of document types, then you’re using the new 2020 release of Dropbox Paper.
If you don’t see Dropbox Paper in the list of document types, then you’re using the old release of Paper.
