How to use Dropbox Business

Dropbox is a home for all your work. You can store and share files, collaborate on projects, and bring your best ideas to life—whether you're working alone or as part of a team.

With intuitive collaboration tools and advanced security features, Dropbox gives you everything you need to get work done on the go.

Let's get started with how to use Dropbox Business.

Dropbox in the cloud

Dropbox uses the cloud to store anything you need for work online. It lets you save, access, and share your important stuff from anywhere, at any time, across any device.

When a file is stored in the cloud, you're no longer chained to a single device or your hard drive. Everything you add to your Dropbox account is updated on and on any computer, phone, or tablet you have linked to your account. Make a change or delete a document? That is reflected, too. Find peace of mind knowing that Dropbox always has your back.

Access your account

There are 3 ways to access your new account: the Dropbox desktop experience,, and the Dropbox mobile app. To get the most from your Dropbox account, install the apps on your computer, tablet, and phone.

Take a minute to sign in to your Dropbox account and get started.

Connect your accounts

Dropbox Business gets your team’s ideas flowing in a safe and secure location. As a team member, you can store, share, and collaborate on files in a work account that’s managed by your company admin. The admin manages users, team workflow, and all content in your company’s Dropbox Business accounts.

You can link your personal and work accounts on your computer or mobile device and still keep each account independent. This allows you to separate personal and work stuff, but easily switch between them without having to sign in and out every time. Keep those cat photos in your personal account for easy viewing, even at work.

How to: Connect Dropbox Business to a personal account

1. Sign in to with your new Dropbox Business account credentials.
2. Click your avatar at the top-right corner of the page.
