How to copy files to your Dropbox folder

You can copy your files to the Dropbox folder on your computer just like you can with any folder on your hard drive.
  • Hold down the Control key while dragging and dropping the file into your Dropbox folder
  • Copy and Paste:
    1. Right-click on the file you want to copy and select Copy
    2. Next, navigate to your Dropbox folder or wherever you'd like to store a copy of the file
    3. Right-click anywhere inside the folder and select Paste
  • Hold down the Option key while dragging and dropping the file into your Dropbox folder
  • Copy and Paste:
    1. Control-click on the file you want to copy and select Copy
    2. Next, navigate to your Dropbox folder or wherever you'd like to store a copy of the file
    3. Control-click anywhere inside the folder and select Paste item
  • Hold down the Control key while dragging and dropping the file into your Dropbox folder
  • Copy and Paste:
    1. Right-click on the file you want to copy and select Copy
    2. Next, navigate to your Dropbox folder or wherever you'd like to store a copy of the file
    3. Right-click anywhere inside the folder and select Paste
