The Action history page in the admin console shows a complete record of all actions performed in Protect and control to fix or clean up access issues. It helps you track updates, confirm whether actions succeeded, and troubleshoot errors.

You can use the Action history page alongside other Protect and control tools, such as policies, Overview reports, and Stale access reports, to monitor, enforce, and audit data access across connected content sources.

The Action history table shows details about every action taken in Protect and Control to give you a complete view of what’s happened in your account. Along with each action taken, you’ll also see the status, timestamp, and total number of items per action.
The table includes the following columns:
Description: What the action was
Actor: Who initiated the action
Action: The specific type of action, such as add link type, remove access, or stop sharing
Status: Whether the action is created, running, or completed
Changes: How many permission changes were attempted
Errors: How many errors occurred
Timestamp: When the action started
