If you’re on Dropbox Standard, Advanced, or Enterprise, you can link your team account with a Dropbox Basic, Plus, Family, or Professional account.
Note: Dropbox Basic, Plus, Family, and Professional accounts can’t be linked with each other, and Dropbox Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise accounts can’t be linked with each other.
If you’re an admin, learn how to manage your team members’ linked accounts and devices.
When you link two Dropbox accounts, you can easily switch between them anywhere you use Dropbox without signing out of one and into the other every time you want to switch.
You can link your accounts on dropbox.com, the Dropbox desktop app, and the Dropbox iOS app. However, you can unlink only on dropbox.com. Once you link or unlink two accounts, they become linked or unlinked everywhere you use Dropbox.
Although linking your accounts links them everywhere you use Dropbox, it doesn’t sign you into both accounts on all devices. It only signs you in where you initiated the link. Your other devices will display the option for you to sign into your linked account. After you do, you will remain signed in and can easily switch between your linked accounts on that device.
Personal security when linking a team account
Linking accounts doesn’t share or transfer information between the two accounts. If you link your accounts and your admin uses the “sign in as a team member” feature to sign into your team member account, they can’t open or access your linked personal account. They can, however, view the name and email address of your linked personal account.

Unlink your accounts
You can unlink your accounts only on dropbox.com. Unlinking your accounts unlinks them everywhere. Across all apps and devices, you’ll be signed out of the last account you added to that app, and you’ll stay signed into the first account.
You can always sign back into your accounts on any device, as you normally would with any unlinked account.

- Click your avatar (photo or initials) in the top right.
- Click Settings.
- Click the General tab.
- Click Unlink next to Linked accounts.
