How to manage Stacks for teams

Stacks help your team organize related content in one place. As an admin, you can create and publish Stacks for your team, making it easier to find and work on shared projects. You can also manage access and visibility to ensure the right people have access to the right content.

How to publish a Stack to your entire team

As an admin, you can pin Stacks to your team members’ start pages, allowing you to share resources to your whole team quickly and easily.

To do so:

  1. Log in to dash.ai with you admin credentials.
    • You can also open the Dash desktop app by pressing control-shift-e (Windows) or command-shift-e (macOS).
  2. Click Account in the left sidebar.
  3. Select Published content.
  4. Enter the name of the Stack you’d like to publish in the search bar.
  5. Click (add) next to the Stack you’d like to publish.
  6. Click Publish.

The Stack will be visible to everyone on your team.

You can quickly generate insights, ask questions, and create summaries of the information in your Stacks.

To ask a question about one of your stacks:

  1. Log in to dash.ai.
    • You can also open the Dash desktop app by pressing control-shift-e (Windows) or command-shift-e (macOS).
  2. Click Stacks in the left sidebar.
  3. Select the Stack you’d like to ask a question about.
  4. Click Ask Dash in the top right corner.
  5. Enter your question in the text box and click  (send).
    • You can also use this text box to summarize each file in your Stack, including Stacks of more than 20 items.

Once your answer appears, you can ask follow-up questions by entering your query in the text box and clicking (send).

How to manage folders shared with your team

You can choose if team members can add editable folders from outside of your Dropbox team.

To permit outside folders in team Stacks:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
  3. Under Products, click the dropdown to the left of Dropbox.
  4. Click Settings.
  5. Under Content, scroll to the Receiving content section.
  6. Toggle Outside folders to On.
