Signers in Japan use a red personal seal, known as a Hanko stamp, to sign paper documents. With Dropbox Sign, Japanese signers can upload an electronic version of their Hanko stamp to sign documents. To simplify future requests, users can also choose to upload their Hanko as a saved signature.
To enable the use of Hanko stamps, Dropbox Sign now supports colored signatures for Dropbox Sign users who have their language set to Japanese or have data residency set to JA. A signer without a Dropbox Sign account can add a Hanko stamp if the requester meets these requirements.
