How to view sent and received transfers

You can view and manage transfers that you’ve sent or received from dropbox.com. This article walks you through previewing, editing, downloading, and deleting your transfers.

How to view and manage sent transfers

To view and manage transfers that you’ve sent:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Transfer from the menu that appears.
  4. In the Sent tab, manage your transfers:
    • To preview a transfer, click the link icon (chainlink) next to a transfer, then click Preview link in the message at the bottom of the page.
    • To change the name of a transfer, click a transfer, click the edit icon (pencil), type a new name, and click Save.
    • To view transfer activity, see the number of Views and Downloads next to each transfer.
    • To change the expiration date of a transfer, click the date next to the transfer, select a date using the date picker, then click Save.
      • Note: This feature is only available to customers on Dropbox Professional, Advanced, Enterprise, and Education, who can set the expiration date up to a year later.
    • To delete a transfer, click “” (ellipsis) next to a transfer, then click Delete.
      • Note: Deleted transfers can’t be recovered.

How to view and manage received transfers

Note: Any transfer that is sent to you via the Send email option will appear on the Received page.

To view and manage transfers that you’ve received:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Transfer from the menu that appears.
  4. In the Received tab, manage your transfers:
    • To download files from a transfer, click the download icon (arrow pointing down).
    • To preview the transfer files, click the transfer to open it.
    • To share the transfer files, click the transfer to open it, then click the link icon (chainlink) to copy the transfer link to share.
    • To save the transfer files to your Dropbox account, click the transfer to open it, then click Save to Dropbox in the new page.
