This article describes a feature available to all Dropbox users.

You can star files and folders for easy access on dropbox.com and the Dropbox mobile app.

When you star a file or folder, it’s starred only for you. It’s not starred for anyone else who shares the file or folder.

Star files and folders

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Hover over the file or folder you’d like to star.
  3. Click "..." (ellipsis) and select Star.
    • You can also hover over a file or folder in grid view and click the star icon next to the file or folder you'd like to star.
    • To unstar a file or folder, click the star icon again.

  2. Tap "..." (ellipsis) next to the file or folder you’d like to star.
  3. Tap Star.
    • To unstar a file or folder, tap Unstar.
