How do I find a billing receipt or invoice?

The information in this article applies to all Dropbox users unless otherwise specified.

Dropbox provides receipts and invoices for all payments. If you pay by debit or credit card, payments will appear on your bank statement as DROPBOX*(transaction number).

You can access your invoices and receipts anytime from your billing page on dropbox.com:

Note: Email receipts may not be sent for every interaction. To view or download receipts or invoices, use the billing page links above.

Billing for Dropbox Plus, Family, Professional, and Essentials

To view your receipts and invoices:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Click Manage Account.
  4. Click Billing.
    • To see an invoice, click Invoice next to the desired transaction.
    • To see a receipt, click Receipt next to the desired transaction.

If a transaction is missing, you can look up a credit/debit card purchase to find your receipt.

Note: On a Dropbox Family plan, only the Family manager can access billing information.

Billing for Dropbox Standard, Business, Advanced, and Business Plus

Note: This only applies to teams paying by credit card, PayPal, or direct debit. If you pay by manual invoicing, you can’t edit information on a Dropbox invoice.

Certain types of admins can view the team's billing history, invoices, and receipts in the admin console. To do so:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Billing.
  4. Click the Payment history tab.
    • You’ll see all of the transactions for the team, with the most recent listed first.
  5. Click  (more options) next to the desired transaction.
    • To see an invoice, click Invoice.
    • To see a receipt, click Find receipt. Enter the transaction ID, then click Submit.

Notes:

  • Your next billing date appears under Upcoming charges at the top of the Billing page.
  • If you pay by check or manual invoicing, you can’t access invoices and receipts on dropbox.com. To request a copy, email invoices@dropbox.com.

What if I purchased Dropbox through the Apple App Store?

If you purchased Dropbox through the Apple App Store, you can view your purchase history to download a receipt.

What if I purchased Dropbox through Google Play?

If you purchased Dropbox through Google Play, you can view your order history to download a receipt.

How do I print an invoice or receipt?

You can print a Dropbox receipt or invoice if you’re an admin with billing access in your team’s Dropbox account, the manager of a Dropbox Family plan, or if you have a Plus, Professional, or Essentials account.


Note:
This only applies if you pay by credit card, PayPal, or direct debit.

To print an invoice or receipt:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Navigate to Billing.
    • If you’re on a team account, click Admin console, then click Billing.
    • If you’re on Plus, Professional, Family , or Essentials, click Settings, then click Billing.
  3. Under Billing history or Payment history, click Invoice or Receipt next to the document you want.
  4. Click Print invoice or Print receipt.

For Dropbox team accounts paying by manual invoice, your designated billing contact will receive an invoice directly via email 24–48 hours after your renewal date.
