Password control helps admins keep their Dropbox team account secure by requiring team members to set strong passwords.
To turn on password control:
- Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
- Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
- Click Settings in the left sidebar.
- Under Authentication, click Password control.
- Next to Password control, click the dropdown arrow in the box and select On.
- Next to Password strength, click the dropdown arrow to select Strong or Very strong.
Changing the password strength requires all team members to create new passwords that meet the password control setting. Team members will be notified via email, and logged out of any web sessions. They're required to create new passwords when they log in.
