If you’re trying to create a new Dropbox account using Sign in with Apple and your phone dies or the app crashes for any reason, the next time you attempt to sign up you may see an error message that says your login attempt failed.

Find solutions to other common issues logging in to Dropbox.

Why did this happen?

If you encounter this issue, it means your Apple ID connected to your Dropbox account before the sign up process completed. In order to complete your sign up, you’ll need to disconnect and reconnect your Apple ID.

How to disconnect your Apple ID

  1. Go to appleid.apple.com/account/manage.
  2. Next to Security, click Manage… below Apps & Websites Using Apple ID.
  3. Click Dropbox.
  4. Click Stop Using Apple ID.
  5. Click Done.

Once you’ve stopped using your Apple ID with Dropbox, you should be able to successfully create your Dropbox account using Sign in with Apple.
