The information in this article applies to all Dropbox users.
Note: If you don’t remember the email address associated with your account, learn how you can find out which email address is associated with your Dropbox account.
If you know your Dropbox password but don’t have access to the associated email address, log in to Dropbox then immediately change your email address.
If you don’t remember your Dropbox password and don’t have access to the associated email address, you can contact your email service provider (ESP) to try to regain access to your email account, or create a new Dropbox account with a different email address.
Only your ESP can help you regain access to your email account. Dropbox is not an ESP, and can’t contact ESPs on your behalf. Below, you'll find information about how to contact some common ESPs.
If your ESP is able to help you regain access to your email account, reset your Dropbox password then update your email address.
If you still can’t access your email account, you won’t be able to reset your password or log in to your Dropbox account. This security measure helps us protect your account from unauthorized access. For security reasons, we can’t change the email address on your account for you.
