Remove a link to a file or folder

Removing a link immediately disables links to your file or folder. Anyone who tries to click a disabled link will get an error message.

To remove a link to a file or folder:

  1. Sign in at
  2. Click Files.
  3. Click Sharing.
  4. Click Links above the list of shared files and folders.
  5. Click ... (ellipsis icon) and select Delete link.

There is no way to re-enable a link once it has been removed. To share a link to your file or folder again, create a new link.
