How to sign up for a Dropbox free trial

This article describes a feature available to all Dropbox users.


You can sign up for a free trial of Professional, Standard, or Advanced to try out our premium features. 

 

To do this:

  1. Go to dropbox.com/plans.
  2. Select which plan you’d like to try and click Try for free.
  3. Enter your email address.
    • If you already have a personal Dropbox account, you can connect this trial to your existing account. 
    • If you don’t already have a Dropbox account, you can create one now to start your free trial.

Note: You can also connect your Google or Apple account to log in to Dropbox.

  1. Complete the sign up and billing information.
  2. Click Start free trial

If you don’t want to continue this plan or want to try out a different plan, you can cancel before your trial period ends. Learn more about cancelling a Dropbox free trial.

What is the difference between a free trial and Dropbox Basic?

Free trial
A free trial allows you to try out our paid plans for a limited period, before deciding whether to upgrade or not.

Dropbox Basic
Dropbox Basic is a free plan that offers 2GB of storage space and access to essential features. Learn more about Dropbox Basic.
