How to change your Dropbox Replay settings

You can change your Dropbox Replay settings to customize your Replay files. You can also customize your email notifications for file and project activity.

Notes:

  • Dropbox Replay email notification settings only apply to Replay activity and don’t apply to other Dropbox emails or marketing emails.
  • Turning off all email notifications will disable all other Replay email notifications.

How to change your Dropbox Replay email notification settings

To change your Replay email notification settings:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Replay from the menu that appears.
    • Note: Dropbox Replay will open in a new tab.    
  4. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the upper right. 
  5. Click Settings.
  6. Toggle on or off: 
    • All Replay email notifications
  • Under Project activity:
    • Project member updates, for example, when a new user is added to a project
    • New content updates, for example, when another user adds a new file to a project
  • Under File activity:
    • Comments on your files
    • Mentions and replies
    • Share link views
    • Status updates

Note: You can also click Update your notifications at the bottom of all Replay email notifications.

How to change Dropbox Replay comment settings

To change comment settings:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the upper left.
  3. Click Replay from the menu that appears.
    • Note: Dropbox Replay will open in a new tab.
  4. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the upper right. 
  5. Click Settings.
  6. Toggle on or off:
    • Show pencil when hovering over file
      • If this setting is turned on, you’ll be able to draw directly on your image or video using your cursor.
    • Pause audio and video file when typing comments
    • Show quick reactions
