The features described in this article are available to admins on Dropbox Business and Business Plus, and some admins on Dropbox Standard and Advanced that are enrolled in beta access.

If you’re an admin on a Dropbox team account, you can see your entire team’s signature request activity, including what documents your team is sending for signature, how frequently they’re sending documents, and all completed signature requests.

You can also manage permissions for the Signatures page in the admin console.

Your signature request quota depends on your plan:

  • Dropbox Standard and Advanced: 3 signature requests per month for each purchased license.
    • Note: Some Dropbox Standard and Advanced teams that have enrolled in beta access share their signature request quota among the entire team.
  • Dropbox Business and Business Plus: Unlimited signature requests.

Notes:

  • Admins may not be able to see all of the team members' signature requests depending on their eligibility.
  • If a team member is removed or leaves a team, the admin becomes the owner of their signature requests and templates.

The Templates tab

Note: Templates are only available to customers on Dropbox Business or Business Plus.

If you’re a team admin on a Dropbox Business or Business Plus account, you can see all the templates your team creates. You can also limit signature requests and template access for the rest of your team. If template permissions are limited, team members won’t be able to click the Create template button.

Team admins can also share templates for other team members to use. To share a template:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click Signatures in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the Templates tab.
  4. Click “” (ellipsis) next to the template you’d like to share.
  5. Click Share with team
  6. Add an email or name you’d like to share with.
  7. Click Share template

How to manage permissions for the Signatures page

If you’re an admin on a Dropbox team account, you can turn permissions on or off for team members to use templates or send signature requests on the Signatures page in the admin console.

To turn permissions on or off:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com using your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Settings
  4. Under Additional Settings, click Signatures.
  5. Manage your team’s settings:
    • Toggle Signatures on or off to allow your team to use the Signatures page on dropbox.com or not.
      • Notes:
        • Turning off Signatures removes all signature features for everyone, admins included.
        • If you turn this off when you have pending signature requests, they’ll be canceled.
    • Toggle Templates on or off to allow your team members to create and edit templates or not.
      • Note: Admins can still edit and create templates when this is turned off.
  6. Click Save.

If Signatures is turned off, the Signatures page on dropbox.com won’t be available for you or your team. If Templates is turned off, team members won’t be able to click Create template on the Signatures page, but admins can still create templates.
