This article describes a paid add-on available to customers on Dropbox Plus, Professional, Essentials, Standard, Business, Advanced, Business Plus, and Enterprise.

The Dropbox Replay Add-On offers premium features for Dropbox Replay, including due dates, password protection for shared links, a links page, video transcription and captions, large file transfers, and archiving to Dropbox.

Note: Teams or individuals on a trial cannot purchase the Replay Add-On. They must upgrade to a paid subscription before buying the add-on. 

Features included

The Dropbox Replay Add-On includes all the features in Dropbox Replay, plus the following:

Note: Customized logos can be any image file that you can preview on Dropbox, and must be at least 80x80 pixels with a maximum size of 100 MB.

Dropbox Replay is turned on by default for all users, but it only offers limited access and limited file uploads to Replay:

  • Dropbox Basic: 4 files
  • Dropbox Plus: 4 files 
  • Dropbox Family: 4 files
  • Dropbox Pro: 4 files 
  • Dropbox Essentials: 10 files
  • Dropbox Business: 10 files
  • Dropbox Business Plus: 10 files
  • Dropbox Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise: 4 files

 

With the Replay Add-On, there’s no file creation or upload limit.

Buy or remove Replay Add-On for individuals 

To buy or remove the Dropbox Replay Add-On for your personal account:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the bottom left corner.
  3. Click Manage account.
  4. In the Add-ons section, click Add or Remove next to Replay Add-On.
    • Note: If you don’t see any add-ons, click View all add-ons to expand your choices.
  5. Click Confirm.

You can also use the Buy Replay notifications or banners in Replay to purchase a Replay Add-On.

When you purchase the add-on, you’ll be charged at a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing period. At the start of your next billing period, you’ll be charged for the full amount of the add-on in addition to your subscription cost.

Buy or remove Replay Add-On for teams that pay by credit card

If your team’s payment method is credit card, you can buy or remove add-ons in the admin console.

Note: If your team isn't paying by credit card, but you don't have a dedicated Account Manager, you’ll need to contact us directly. You may be eligible to purchase a minimum of 10 Replay Add-Ons for your team.

How to assign a Replay Add-On to a team member

To buy a new add-on for a team member:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members in the left sidebar.
  4. Click No add-ons under Add-ons, next to the person you want to assign an add-on to.
  5. Click Add beside Replay in the pop-up that appears.
  6. Click Buy now.
    • Once assigned, No add-ons will change to Replay under Add-ons.

 

How to remove a Replay Add-On from a team member

To remove an add-on:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members in the left sidebar.
  4. Click Replay under Add-ons, next to the person you want to remove the add-on from.
  5. Click Remove beside Replay in the pop-up that appears.
  6. Click Confirm.
    • Once removed, Replay will change to No add-ons under Add-ons.

Note: You have the option to assign the add-on to another team member after removing it. If an add-on remains unassigned on your next renewal, it will be permanently removed.  

How to buy or remove Replay Add-Ons for multiple team members 

To add or remove add-ons for multiple team members:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members in the left sidebar.
  4. Check the box beside Name, which will select all team members. Uncheck the box beside any members that you don’t want to include.
    • Click Add add-ons to add multiple team members, then click Confirm
    • Click Remove add-ons to remove multiple team members, then click Confirm

How to request a Replay Add-On from your team admin 

If you’re a member of a team and want to be assigned a Replay Add-On, you can request one from your team admin.

  1. Go to dropbox.com/replay.
  2. Scroll down and click Buy the Replay Add-On.
    • You’ll be asked to log in to your Dropbox account to send the request. 
  3. Click Request add-on.

You’ll see a notification that says the request was sent. You’ll get an email if it’s approved.

Note: Admins will receive a notification via email, in their Dropbox account notifications, in the admin console Dashboard, and in the admin console Members page.

How to cancel Replay Add-Ons

Replay Add-Ons will automatically be canceled if they remain unassigned at the end of a billing period. This avoids any unnecessary billing of teams.

For example, if a team member with an add-on leaves the team but their add-on isn’t assigned to another team member, this add-on will be cancelled when you renew.

Buy or remove Replay Add-On for teams with an Account Manager

If your team has a dedicated account manager, you’ll need to contact Dropbox directly to buy Replay Add-Ons for your team. Your team must buy a minimum of 10 add-ons, but you don’t need to buy them for the entire team.
 

Once you’ve purchased the add-ons, team admins can assign or remove them in the admin console.
 

How to assign or remove an add-on

To assign an add-on to an individual team member: 

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members in the left sidebar.
  4. Find the person whose add-ons you want to update, then assign or remove the add-on under Add-ons.
    • Click No add-ons if you’d like to assign.
    • Click Replay add-on if you’d like to remove.
  5. Click Add or Remove next to Replay Add-On in the pop-up that appears.
  6. Click Confirm.

Notes

  • You’ll see your team’s total number of unassigned add-ons beneath Replay Add-On in the pop-up.
  • Once removed, Replay will change to No add-ons under Add-ons.

How to assign or remove multiple add-ons 

To assign or remove add-ons for multiple team members at once:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members in the left sidebar.
  4. Check the box beside the people who need add-ons assigned or removed.
    • Hover over someone’s name to make the checkboxes appear.
  5. Click Add add-ons or Remove add-ons, depending on what you’d like to do.
  6. Click Add or Remove beside Replay Add-On in the pop-up that appears.
  7. Click Confirm.

Notes

  • To assign or remove add-ons for your entire team, check the box beside Name, then follow the steps above.
  • To assign or remove add-ons by group, click the dropdown beside Group, select the group you want, then follow the steps above.
