This information is specific to customers on Dropbox Standard, Advanced, Business, Business Plus, and Enterprise.
Important note: On October 28, 2025, Dropbox Passwords will go away. Be sure to export your passwords before this date or you’ll lose access to your Dropbox Passwords data. Learn more here—including how to switch to another password manager like 1Password.
If your team has a negotiated contract or a HIPAA BAA, you may need to sign an addendum for team members to use Dropbox Passwords.
Note: Once this action is completed, it can only be undone by contacting support.
After signing the addendum, Dropbox Passwords will be turned on for your team. Dropbox Passwords can be turned off by using the toggle in the Passwords page of the admin console.
A copy of your signed addendum will be saved to your top-level Dropbox folder. You can also save a copy to your computer by clicking Download Addendum to the right of Dropbox Passwords Access.
