How to password-protect your shared links in Dropbox Replay

Dropbox Replay is available to all Dropbox users on dropbox.com. The Dropbox Replay Add-On is a paid feature available to customers on Dropbox Plus, Essentials, Professional, Standard, Business, Advanced, Business Plus, and Enterprise.

The feature described in this article is only available for customers who have purchased the Dropbox Replay Add-On.

How to password-protect your shared links in Dropbox Replay

To password-protect your shared links:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the upper left.
  3. Click Replay from the menu that appears.
    • Note: Dropbox Replay will open in a new tab.
  4. Hover over the thumbnail or in the row of the file you’d like to share.
  5. Click “” (ellipsis) in the upper right corner.
  6. Click Share from the menu that appears.
    • Note: You can change file and folder permissions from your Links tab.
  7. Select recipient access: 
    • View and comment: Collaborators can view the file and comments, and can add comments of their own.
    • View only: Collaborators can view the file, but can’t see or add comments.
  8. Click the gear icon to require a password.
  9. Toggle on Required password.
  10. Type in your desired password.
  11. Click Save.
