Watermarking is a paid feature included in the Dropbox Replay Add-On.

You can apply a default or customized watermark to your Dropbox Replay files. Watermarking helps you protect your content, lock down access, and track your watermarked content when sharing for review.

A generic watermark link can be sent to your groups or teams, or you can add email addresses and send a new link for each email address. You can set watermark link settings with each individual link and customize the text, position, theme, opacity, and size. If your Replay file has a generic watermark, you’ll see Watermark in the top-right corner of the thumbnail image.

Replay files with customized watermarks have the same setting options as a generic watermark, but also include email tracking, and record the IP address, date, and time your viewer opened your content. Your Replay file thumbnail will show a lock icon and you’ll see Watermark in the top-right corner.

How to add a watermark to your Replay files

To add a watermark:

  1. Log in to dropbox.com.
  2. Click the grid icon in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Replay from the menu that appears.
    • Note: Dropbox Replay will open in a new tab.
  4. Open the Replay file you’d like to add a watermark to.
  5. Click Share in the upper right.
  6. Select View and comment or View only in the dropdown menu, depending on the permissions you’d like to grant.
  7. Enter names or email addresses of who you’re sharing it with.
