How to switch to direct Dropbox billing
- Cancel your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Wait for your subscription to end and your Dropbox account to downgrade.
- Go to the Dropbox plans page.
- Choose a plan and upgrade directly through Dropbox.
After upgrading on dropbox.com, Dropbox will bill you directly for your subscription.
What happens to your files when you switch billing?
If you switch billing and stay within your new plan’s storage limit, your files will remain in your Dropbox account when your subscription ends. If you exceed that limit, syncing will stop until you upgrade or reduce your storage usage.
If your account remains over its storage limit, Dropbox will send you multiple notifications before it may delete your files. Learn more about exceeding your storage limit.
What to do if you’re charged twice for your subscription
If you notice multiple charges for your Dropbox subscription, check whether they’re associated with different Dropbox accounts.
If you believe you’re being charged more than once for the same subscription, contact Apple or Google Play to investigate the charges.
If you need further help, contact Dropbox Support and provide details of the charges.
