How to view the licenses and space on your team account

To view the licenses and storage space available to your team:

1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
3. Click Dashboard in the left sidebar.
   • Under Team Usage, you’ll see how many licenses your team is using.
   • Under Storage, you’ll see your team’s storage space limits.

If your team is nearing its storage limit, learn how to get more space, or contact Dropbox Support.

To contact Dropbox Support, click Help in the left sidebar on the admin console. If you’re an admin of a Premium Support team, click Premium Support in the left sidebar on the admin console.

How to add or remove licenses

To add or remove licenses:

1. Log in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
2. Click Admin console in the left sidebar.
3. Click Billing in the left sidebar.
4. Under Products, click Manage licenses.
5. Enter the number of licenses you want in the box.
   • If you add licenses, you’ll see the cost displayed.
6. Click Add licenses or Remove licenses.

Storage space by plan type

Dropbox Standard, Business, Advanced, Business Plus, and Enterprise give you file storage for your business needs. The exact amount of storage space available depends on your plan:

Storage space vs. number of files

The performance of the Dropbox desktop app can start to decline after syncing around 300,000 files. This is a soft limit and depends on your computer's hardware. Some customers may not experience issues even beyond this number.

However, we strongly recommend not exceeding 1 million files on a single computer. This limit is based on the number of files, not their total size.

If you notice syncing issues:

• Use selective sync to sync only specific files to your computer. The rest of your files will still be available on dropbox.com and other linked devices.
• Adjust your bandwidth settings to help Dropbox sync more efficiently.
