Invite people to your Dropbox Business team

Once you’ve created your Dropbox Business team, you can begin inviting users at your company or organization to join.

How to invite people to join your Dropbox Business team

You’ll need a license for each person you invite to your Dropbox Business team.

You can invite members individually or in bulk through a CSV file (a spreadsheet).

Invite members to your team individually

There are two ways to invite new, individual members to your Dropbox Business team—email or a shared link.

To invite new members to your Dropbox Business team via email:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members.
  4. Click Invite members.
  5. Enter the email addresses of people you want to invite, and click Send invites.

If your team is on a Dropbox Business Standard or Advanced plan, you can also invite members using a shared link. Anyone who receives this link will be able to join your team. To invite new members to your Dropbox Business team via a shared link:

  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin credentials.
  2. Click Admin console.
  3. Click Members.
  4. Click Invite members.
  5. Select an expiration date for the link using the dropdown menu below Get an invite link.
  6. Click Create link.
  7. Click Copy link.
  8. Share the invite link using your preferred method of communication.

If someone already has a Dropbox account that they use for work, they can convert an existing personal Dropbox account to a Dropbox Business account. Alternatively, they can create a new account altogether.

Notes:

Invite members to your team in bulk

  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Click Members.
  4. Click Invite members.
  5. Click Import CSV file.
  6. Click Download template to fill out the CSV.
  7. Import your filled out CSV.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Click Send invites.
