Notes:

  • Do not edit the Dropbox Team Folder or its contents during the sync
  • This integration is a one-way sync from Dropbox to Content Builder. Any changes made to files in Content Builder will not sync back to Dropbox
  • Content syncing from Dropbox with same name and type will overwrite any existing files in Content Builder
  • When you rename a folder in Dropbox, the asset URLs will change and the folder will temporarily disappear in Content Builder
  • Folders with restricted access that are in the selected team folder will be synced to Content Builder

What content can I sync from Dropbox?

  • Content Builder only accepts specific file types that are supported by Salesforce Marketing Cloud. All files must be 3 MB or less in size
  • Content synced from your Dropbox account will have a “Dropbox” tag in Content Builder
  • Deleting a file or folder in your Dropbox account will automatically delete that file or folder in Content Builder
  • Edits made to Dropbox content will override existing content in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Why did my Dropbox account stop syncing to Content Builder?

If the admin who initiated the sync is is no longer an admin or gets deleted or suspended from the team, the sync will stop until an active admin opens the Dropbox for Salesforce Marketing Cloud app in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. To avoid any disruption in sync, you can create a service account (i.e: an account not related to a specific employee).

How to change your linked folder

You may choose to link a different Dropbox team folder. To do so:

  2. Click Choose a different folder.
